Memebox – F/W Colors Review

Confession time! Memebox officially owns my soul. I could tell you magical stories about how I desperately tried to resist this box when it was announced last July but they would all be blatant lies and slander. This box was mine from conception.

There are things in this world I choose not to understand, such as why bad things happen to good people, why they make about 467.72 tons of cordial cherries that never sell every year, and why Memeboxes are so addicting. I embrace this addiction. I also see no need for pink lemonade flavored oreos but that’s a rant for another day.

Memebox is a Korean beauty service specializing in one-time boxes. Each box has a different theme, price and shipping time. These suckers ship out around a month after purchase so patience is highly needed with this company. Each box also comes with an info card. The items are sourced directly from Korea and may not always be in English. Not that you wouldn’t know that a lipstick is a lipstick but Memebox has been known to send out face products that require mixing and childhood chemistry sets so the cards are useful.

YADAH Angel Lip Tint in Red Wine – 8$
You know, I never knew was lip tint was. I had never experienced it before, never owned it, never heard about it, and certainly had no idea how to use it. Then suddenly the beauty box gods said “LET THERE BE LIP TINT,” and this is my 7th lip tint in the last month.

I still don’t like this stuff. NEW THINGS SCARE ME. Just give me some gloss and I’m happy. It smells like concentrated turpentine.

Witch’s Pouch POPO Lipstick – Burgundy Wine – 12$
This is the darkest lipstick I own. There’s so much I love about this, the design of the tube is simplistic yet effective and has a satin finish (I dig packaging bite me) and the stick itself is creamy and smooth. The color washes me out though as it’s entirely too dark. I need to figure out some way to lighten this up without destroying the stick itself. I love berries in general and this is such a pretty color for fall. Why couldn’t my skin work with Fall colors too? 😦 I will make this work. I will.

Shara Shara Fairy’s Perfume Nail VL01 Lilac Bora – 4$
The design screams adorable yet young to me. I love the design to be honest, and the color is gorgeous and filled with many sparklies but it doesn’t scream Fall to me. It seems more like kindergarten play date. Regardless I am keeping it and using it because I like pretty bottles and pretty colors.

DD’ell Illumination Eye Shadow – Shimmer Green – 11$
Green and I are mortal enemies. My eyes are dark blue and my skin is vanilla (if going by Too Faced foundation colors). Green makes me look like I have food poisoning. I would have loved this in any other color. It’s a nice size shadow too, quite large and only has a hint of shimmer. It goes on pretty sheer too, but I still can’t pull it off. Boo hiss.

Witch’s Pouch Love Me Blusher – Sexy Swan – 14$
It’s a little darker than I like in my blushes normally, but it goes on fairly sheer and does look at least a little natural. It’s easily the biggest compact of blush ever too.

DD’ell Stay Forever Gel Eye Pencil Twilight Purple and Garden Light – 14$ Each
More eyeliners! But they’re pretty eyeliners! The green is much more of a light green but it still ranks right up there on the “Beeju can’t use this color” scale, but when paired with the eye shadow I imagine it would be gorgeous. The purple I adore.

Close ups. The purple looks a lot like the polish. They’re both glitterbombs. The purple goes on very smoothly. I quite like it! Maybe this is an excuse to invest in some purple eyeshadow huhu

The only things I wasn’t crazy about were the two green items and the lip tint. The rest I’ll use and love considerably. Memebox has had a pretty decent track record of sending me a variety of shaded eyeliners (besides that plain black one from the Waterproof box) and I am really liking the Witch’s Pouch brand based on what we’ve seen here.

It may not seem like it because I’m nonsensical and snarky at times but I really loved this box. It’s easily one of my favorites from Memebox so far.

Welp, Memeboxes run the gamut from 15$ to 30something$. They release new boxes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays so you’re sure to find something you like. Do yourself a favor and buy a bundle to get the express shipping, you’ll be so glad you did.
