Memebox Superbox #79 – Oh! My Lips Review

20141220_151334Will I ever not buy a Memebox lip box?

Nope.

20141220_151355This box only had five products in it, but at least they filled up the box.

20141220_151410While All About Lips contained a variety of lipsticks and glosses, and Lipstick Box had all lipsticks, Oh! My Lips was billed as being a lip care box. Seeing as how my lips have been super dry and cracked lately, this box couldn’t have been released at a better time.

20141220_152130Vivito Painting Sweet Lip Balm in 02 Berry Farm – $24

I would actually pay full price for this balm if I had to, it’s just that good. First off, it smells and tastes like berry jam. The texture is reminiscent of jelly, and is easy to scoop up with a finger and glide over your lips. The color payoff is surprisingly great, and and my lips remained tinted a glossy pink for hours after application. The balm is incredibly soothing and hydrating. I even love the shiny gold box. I just wish I hadn’t lost my only lip brush, as I hate sticking my finger in over and over again.

Lassie’el Kiss Me! Glam Up! Lipstick – $6¬†

This box contains six little lipstick cards that can be used more than once (but not too much more, given the amount on each card). I appreciate Memebox trying to include something different, but I just don’t see the point in something like this. I’d much rather have a cheap lipstick or gloss. I think this would be good for giving to a young relative if you happen to have one.

Fun fact: On the back of the Oriental Red card, it’s incorrectly labeled as Natural Coral

20141220_151512SR Lip Scrub – $12

This is the biggest tube of lip scrub I’ve ever seen. It has snail filtrate in it! This scrub feels totally non-abrasive, and left my lips super soft, smooth, and totally free of dead skin. This is absolutely a keeper.

20141220_151626Vivito Dessin Solution Lip & Eye Remover – $32

Despite being called a lip and eye remover (creepy!!!), this is actually used to remove lip and eye makeup. The bottle needs to be shaken before use in order to blend the two layers together. I’m not quite sure I’d shell out $32 for this, but it certainly seemed to do its job in removing stubborn lipstick. The big bottle should last me quite a while.

20141220_151705Rosemine Vitamin E Lip Balm in Mint Tea – $7

This minty scented balm is amazing. The consistency is that of a super thick gel, and it coats the lips very nicely. It’s one of the most moisturizing lip products I have ever tried (and believe me, I’ve tried a ton). It’s even better at healing badly chapped lips than the Vivito balm. This product goes on clear, gives your lips a glossy sheen, and stays on for hours. At such a cheap price, I’ll definitely be picking up more in the future.

20141221_165008Outside of the silly lipstick cards, this box was a smash hit for me. Given the quality of this box, I’d absolutely buy the next lip box that Memebox releases, even if I weren’t such a lip freak. Are you listening, Memebox? More lip boxes please!

  1. I kept putting this one in my cart and taking it out. Putting it in and taking it out.
