Memebox Scent Box #6 – Sweet Shop Review

memeopenMemebox comes in mini-size yo!

Well, sorta. The scentboxes have consistently been cheaper than regular Memeboxes, because they’re filled with less items. This box was 15$ when it debuted, and I bought the sweets box, and D Lys bought the tropical (her review is coming later). The third box in this scentbox set was floral, which is practically Beeju repellant.

Seriously, I am all about sweets, I am alllll about fruit and yummy stuff but no flowers. Flowers are like mace to me.

memevard1 memevard2Each box comes with an info card detailing the items, and how to use them. These photos are exceedingly blurry and pretty much unreadable. Pretty much like any other day.

memelipscPure Smile Choosy Lip Pack Shining (White Pearl and Pink Pearl) – 5$
Honestly I’m probably the only person who really dislikes getting these masks in these boxes. I won’t ever use them because yeah… chapstick is a thing..

memebalmHope Girl Tinted Lip Balm – Hot Cherry – 12$
Hope Girl is one of those brands that seems to be in just about every Memebox, yet coincidence or divine intervention has prevented me from ever getting any until now. This smells like strawberry poptarts and has no color payoff whatsoever. I did find it pretty hydrating though.

memeshamHello Everybody Vita Berry Shampoo – 23$
I both love and hate this at the same time. I love it because it makes my hair super silky, shiny and soft. I hate it because it has no lather at all and makes me question the very existence of shampoo on my head. I hate it because it lacked a conditioner. I love it because it smells like strawberry jam. I’m very conflicted with this but at the same time I’m not because I clearly love it.

memescrubPure Smile Jewelry Scrub Glitter Sugar Scrub – 8$
Ah yes, when packing a box filled with sweetly scented items, the first thing I reach for is a diamond themed scrub. Clearly it’s because of the “sugar” aspect of it and I am being overly snarky today. It does smell very sweet and it works as well as any other scrub with the added benefit of looking like a glorified disco ball. It’s got an obscene amount of glitter in it but it does smell really good.

memeallThis box was a mixed bag for me. Honestly the only thing I won’t use is the lip scrubs but that’s because I stay as far away from those things as humanly possible. I do like the shampoo and the scrub and the lip balm will get used. Overall it was a sucessful box by technicality’s standards, but I think I would have liked the tropical box a bit better.

Memeboxes run the gamut from 15$ to 30+ and ship much later than purchased. It’s worth it tho. Viva la K Beauty.

Beeju purchased this box. This post contains an affiliate link.

  1. I got Hot Cherry in my Sweet Shop box too and I was debating whether to open it because I HATE cherry scented/flavored things. Thanks for opening it first and letting me know that it smells like strawberry Poptarts because I love strawberry and I love Poptarts 🙂 I guess I can use it, after all. The other thing I sorta-kinda-maybe liked was the shampoo. It smells like my shower stall just pooped strawberries and I love it, but I don’t love the sans lather action either. I got the scrub in Ruby and it kinda just smells like perfumy powder. Blah. As for the lips, I haven’t used it yet. I’m afraid my bf might leave me once he sees how ridiculous I look with them on 😦

    • I don’t much like cherry scented stuff either. The balm does have an artificial cherry scent but it smelled much more like poptarts than plastic cherries. I love that shampoo but that lack of lather may end causing me to use the entire bottle in one sitting. Oof. THAT SMELL THO.

I banished those lip things to a vanity drawer and they’ll stay there forever. The diamond version of the scrub smells like burnt sugar but the sparkle is what kills me on it lol
